Sunday, August 31 Last day of summer holiday. Went with my dad to buy a cheap cordless phone. Successful. Then eat in Pizza Hut. Yeah..hahaha. And went to ¥_¨Ê¼Ó for dinner. Bought a 256 memory stick because of its reasonable price. Sigh..everyone of you is commencing school tomorrow. Good luck and study well in form 4 (form 3 as well ;) ). I am going to miss you guys a lot..anyway..All the best to you!Saturday, August 30 Very tired after dinner with relatives. Received more gifts today (which I intend to keep away from). A watch (symbolizes that I HAVE to wear one) and some accessories. Took a lot of photos. Really tired. Gotta sleep now. Yawn...
Friday, August 29 Renewed my BNO today. Then had buffet in Marriot again. This time not dessert buffet, but regular lunch bar buffet. Not recommended. The dessert one is more attractive and has a larger variety. Made a ppc theme just now.
WavesThursday, August 28 Redeemed the SCMP collector's postcards and a box today. The postcards are very nicely printed in monotone. The box is just a light paper box with pictures as pattern, though packed in a cheap white container. You can't call that bad, especially when you get it for free.
Wednesday, August 27 Gazed at Mars just now. First by eyes, then by telescope. By eye, it looked like a yellow dot on a dark piece of paper. In the telescope, it looked like an orange. Orange size, orange color, but the thing it lacks, is an orange's smell. Just kidding. Anyway, french test tomorrow, again. Have to revise later.
Tuesday, August 26 Happy birthday to Gordon. And saw an interesting pic today.
Monday, August 25 Went to have lunch with grandma today. And similiar things to Saturday happened. My mum and her nearly fight for the bill. Of course, at the end, grandma won, and I felt both happy and sad. After lunch, I went home and cleared my old textbooks. Watching those untaught pages, I just gave a deep sigh and threw them hopelessly. Really hope that teachers nowadays know how to regulate the syllabus yearly in order to conserve trees.
In less than ten days, I shall leave you guys and start a new page in history. I know that it is a big challenge to me, just like a steep road to climb. Eventually, if I were able to climb up to the top, I would have farsighted vision and realistic future. It all depends on the strength that I choose to pay. I pledge to try my best and ride through the current. Indeed, good work pays good results. God bless.
Sunday, August 24 Finished The Color of Water finally! The novel is great, and I like it in some ways. My dad bought a new notebook from Sony, the huge one with 15' screen. But, not for me. Why? Firstly, no one would want to carry the machine around when it weighs 7 pounds. Secondly, I have had such a strong foundation in my present notebook. Therefore, it doesn't suit me. But it's good for my dad since he just locate it there unmoved unless for business travels. Acts well as a desktop replacer. Now tranferring photos to it through firewire. It's a nice piece of device, steady, fast, and excellent screen - just not for me.
Saturday, August 23 Woke up at 8 something at morning and closed my eyes again as I thought there would be no tennis. Indeed, at half-past eight the coach called and said the lesson had to be canceled. Then suddenly at 9:45, he called and said the court is fine. So rushed to Junction Road and played tennis, for only 1 hour. After that, went home and took a bath, and had lunch with my aunt. We then came across a shoe shop and I targeted at a nice sneaker. So tried it out..everything's fine..and bought it. But then my aunt rushed to the counter to pay. So embarassed. She said she didn't know what to give me, so took the 'chance'. I feel kinda ashamed. Traveled back for lessons, then returned to TST for dinner with another aunt (not really aunt, but we just call her auntie..auntie). Nearly ate for 3 hours. Then she suddenly handed in a Burberry bag and you know what was happening. So got another 'goodbye gift'. Enclosed a photo of it below. It really is a day full of mixed feelings.
Friday, August 22 Spent the whole morning playing Snails, which I downloaded last night. Then read more of The Color of Water at noon. Still have a few chapters to go. Originally I shall play tennis at 6, but then the rain ruined everything. I had to cancel it again. Haven't played tennis for nearly two weeks! Discouraged. Just now came up with an old song. Thursday, August 21 Very fortunately to be able to go with friends (I suppose that I should call them 'friends' instead of 'classmates' now) to watch Finding Nemo in Pacific Place. What I remember most is the sound of Dory talking to the whale in 'whale'. Well..the voice was nearly the same as Matilda's. But what interests me is the reason Martin was laughing so heavily. Anyway, after that we traveled to Times Square for lunch. Then lessons. And took my blazer. Fits very well. The color is great. Nice suit.
Wednesday, August 20 Spent some time in the morning reading The Color of Water, then made a theme for ppc. It's green, since I want something special. Had Cha Siu rice for lunch just now. Why? Because I think I will miss it a lot in US. And it tastes great! Now listening to PTH tapes. Later at four shall play tennis. Here's the theme I made. It is named Dewdrop. Download it here.
Tuesday, August 19 Very unlucky day. Did really bad in the French test (19/30), and had to do another next week. Of course Vivian didn't mind a lot, orelse I would have to rewrite all the wrong ones. Then just now it suddenly rained, and I had to cancel my tennis lessons at 6 pm. Therefore, fetched out the chocolates from Beatrice and am now enjoying them. Here's a picture of the lovely chocz:
Monday, August 18 French test tomorrow! Still figuring out the stupid nouns. And still haven't finished The Color of Water. Might finish it by this week. Have to revise French now. God bless.
Sunday, August 17 Sunday again! Went to the tailor shop and measured the respective lengths needed. Then bought a few collar shirts. Some cheap ones, cause the parents from Taft said that their sons always miss clothes or if not, being ruined by unknown reasons. After that went home and watched tv. My brother starts his new schoolyear tomorrow in HKIS, and have to get up real early at 6 and travel to Kowloon Tong for schoolbues at 6:40. Racing with time. And for me..still haven't revised the French things. So desperate. Sigh again..
Saturday, August 16 No tennis in the morning since the coach was sick. So stayed at home and read newspaper articles, surfed the web and stuffs. Just then found out that August dailys have a huge demand on photos, since I have not posted any till now. Therefore I have decided to show this wallpaper to you:
Friday, August 15 Just came back from Taft's newcomers dinner. Chatted a lot and went wild about the school. I am getting excited, I think. Still few tasks to do and some stuffs to buy, but the parents said, don't buy too much, buy them in America. I might take their piece of advice and save money. Other than that today is a normal day. Oh right! I am going to have a French test next Tuesday. Seems that I will be very busy on the weekends. Sigh..
Monday-Wednesday, August 11-13 Very tired after my three day trip to the resort. Let me do a brief journal. It all started when we smelled the burning essences. We arrived at the front desk. Took the room, and the 9 of us rode on golf carts to our mansion. It was big. All of us rushed inside and immediately drew our lines and territories. It was about 11, so we decided to play a hour of table tennis before lunch. After lunch, we made ceramics then swam. Swam for nearly 3 hours. Of course, just playing kind of swim. Then the resort hired a suv and drove us to a restaurant in the town. Not mentioning the food, the ambience was already great, and we took a lot of photos with the small baby. Basically this was the first day.
Then the second day. I woke up at 9 something, although most of them woke up at 8 and jogged downstairs around the pond. Then we visited the 'happy farm'. It was not happy actually, cause the weather was so ridiculously hot. After that, we bought some raw materials from its store and cooked spaghetti for lunch. We ate and watched 'monsters inc' at the same time. About 3, we went swimming again. Then dinner outside, and the second day is gone.
And now, today. In the morning, we watched tv lazily. Then packed things, had our lunch, and headed for my dad's factory. It was fun - if we did have to ride an hour and half on the suv. At 8, after dinner, we made our way back home. So tired. Still have to read books and play tennis tomorrow. Yawn..
Sunday, August 10 Went to computer expo today. Perhaps my expectation was too high, but this year's must have been the least attractive, least exhibitors, and least money earned exhibition. Only a few big companies and loads of small potato shops participated in it. Anyway, went for dinner with Beatrice in Spaghetti House. The food is not bad, but somehow tastes peculiar. And tomorrow I shall leave for a island resort and will be back in 3 days. Still packing things now. You guys will miss me a lot, right?
Saturday, August 9 Saturday again. Played tennis for 3 hours then back home, took rest, and headed for lessons. Such a boring day. Tomorrow will head for computer expo. Not expecting too much, cause everyone seems to have little or no interest on it.
Friday, August 8 A very pleasant and restful Friday. Had an 2 hour lesson at noon and lunch with mum afterwards. And yes, my brother was notified that he is accepted to HKIS. I feel happy for him. And you guys would probably not see him in La Salle. Farewell!
Thursday, August 7 Went to Ocean Park today. We did not spend too much time on rides, rather than that, we devoted ourselves to aircon, food, drinks, and photos. Yes, photos. A lot of photos taken. Wednesday, August 6 Too busy installing stuffs on my pocket pc so no time for photos. Besides that, read 3 chapters of The Color of Water. Why so many? Because I did not read any chapter yesterday. I also assume that I will be too tired to read any tomorrow. So read 3 today. Quite good. This novel is getting more and more attractive.
Tuesday, August 5 Went to Spice House for lunch with grandparents. The food are really spicy. Not too good for me. After that, I fullfilled my dream! My mum bought me 1940. Still exploring it now, not too familiar with it. I will try my best to show some photos of it to you guys tomorrow.
Monday, August 4 Another French lesson today. Je m'appelle..Eugene. A lot of stuffs to remember..nouns, pronouns, verbs. And yes, saw a good Calvin and Hobbes today. It is something about 'the sublime moments of life'. Really cool. At the evening went for dinner with Alan and Michelle. They are always the same..so close to each other, chat and tease common interests, yet never had a tense fight. My pleasure to know such great friends.
Sunday, August 3 Went for a haircut today. Really really short, in my opinion. Still have bought any PDAs yet, not sure why. Perhaps of bad luck, or just that no luck at all. Anyway..tomorrow will have French lesson again. Looking forward to it.
Saturday, August 2 "Being smarter than you look is better than looking smarter than you are..." Very interesting quote. Today played tennis from 9-12 again. It is so darn hot! Sweated like rain drops. Anyway, continued my Satuday lessons and arrived home at 7. Nothing really interesting. Right, I will have haircut tomorrow. Better sleep earlier. Yawn...
Friday, August 1 First day of August. Let me give myself a big sigh. These 31 days of July passed so quickly, and I have to admit that I did not take full use of them. Actually, I have only done 20 days of work comparing to these 31 days. So bad. I really hope that I can manage my time better in August. God bless.
