I know this is cheesy..but seriously, this summer seems to me a dream; a dream which is ending since school is going to start, but also a dream carrying on by the love from all of you. And I don't want to leave. I even hoped that if I had a choice, I would either not attend taft at all or not come back on holidays - coz it's so damn hard to leave. If only I had a harry potter situation, where I hated my home and loved my school. But I don't. I don't hate my school but I love my home so strongly that it outweighs the former.
As for now, that's it for summer 2004. Enjoy school and prepare well in the hkcee, guys. And those taking the SATs, don't fool around like me!
August 29, 2004 The day after tomorrow. It's hard not to think of that. It's hard. But now since 'tomorrow' is creeping closer, 'tomorrow' will become an even scarier word.
Had lunch with relatives in jade garden today. Once again I realized how bitter it is to leave the ones we love. Ya..this is life.August 28, 2004
Had lunch with dad in ifc II and dined with relatives to celebrate my grandma's bday just now. Nothing much besides those. Yesterday while I was again cleaning my shelf, four cdrs I bought in japan long time ago appeared. Still very colorful ya?

I remember the days when I was still studying in la salle, I felt extremely relieved when fridays came; but not any more. Now my heart feels like sinking..sinking to nowhere, as if my thoughts are getting too weighty for anything to hold. There must be something I'm missing that makes me so down. Must be something.
During dinner I pictured myself returning to Taft, and for the first time this summer I wanted death to take me away like it does to a dead leaf from its dried limb.
August 26, 2004
Had a 'farewell dinner' (I really want to avoid that word..) with Kevin + Martin + Thomas (kind of..) +Michelle + Egg + Ayu in Golden Elephant. Unfortunately, our organizer must have under-estimated the price and in the end the bill turned ot to be $16xx. All of us scraped money from our already-not-so-thick wallets. A few minutes later we all became poor but managed to slip into starbucks for coffee. They discussed about 'Graddin' (quoted from Thomas' scrapbook) while I carried on with my summer reading avec lassitude..till 12.. Anyway, I'm back now, my brain blank and my body sore.. Should get a deep sound sleep for another day of speed reading.
August 25, 2004 "If there is no snake in your feet, do not lift rocks at the side of the road." Cleaned up my shelf today and found an old yet interesting magazine; probably my bro's or my dad's. Hmm..didn't know about the CLS till today; pretty cool, ya?
Played tennis again. Ate at starbucks again. Jennie is nice (I suppose that's her name?).
August 24, 2004
Went to Jeff's house and wasted a whole day there; although it's nice to catch up with their stories before getting back to Taft. Sigh..back again..
August 22, 2004
Just a sidenote today: the coming week will be a chaos..
August 21, 2004
Is it normal to expect a sincere 'hi' from friends that I haven't met for years? I believe so. But he doesn't. He brushed through us with his hand slipping away from his girlfriend's when he saw us.
Watched Garfield with kc and martin in festival walk. Before that, we walked into the FX store (with a simple hope of 'glimpsing around'), but found out we fell into a trap. The two guys were persuaded from buying a wallet, to getting something else to reacher $500 for an instant $100 rebate, then an addition item @ half price, and accumulating $1000 for permanent vip + some coupons. Wtf.. Com'on..please be realistic.

Went out early this morning to buy a new pair of shoes. After that had my second-last sat lesson, then walked to ifc. Guess what: I went up to the podium again (and of course, through the magnificent sliding doors)! Ferried back to tst for dinner. Somehow, during our ferry ride, the waves hit so harshly that we were as though on a 'pirate ship'. 個海港真係越來越唔平靜.. See friandise.
August 19, 2004
Got my hsbc credit card today. Pretty cool. For 'security' reasons, the card itself is excluded from the pix.

French time! #1
Bonjour. Aujourd'hui, j'ai joué au tennis avec mes amis. Puis, nous avons mangé à chez un Starbucks à côté du club. C'etait amusement..
Well.. I planned to write longer than that..but I ran out of ideas. More next time.
August 17, 2004
I don't know; but I start to feel 'brown' just like every other about-to-end holidays. Sigh.. Let's dive into photos.. See friandise.

Notice the keen comepetition between tvb and atv in broadcasting the Olympics? Ya, this time, I think that atv is doing a much better job - the speakers talk less rubbish! And whats the point of finding non-related celebrities into the broadcast? Atv wins by its practicalness. I mean, people watch the Olympics because they want to watch the Olympics; not to listen to the celebrities' crap.
And, its 15th today. WOW.
August 13, 2004
Had dinner at a thai restaurant in SOHO central. Food was quite delicate. Took some pictures too.
P.S. Am I going to watch the Olympics later? It depends. We'll see.August 12, 2004 "Worry not that no one knows of you; seek to be worth knowing." Seen through a lot of things today; and I think thats enough.
August 11, 2004 Appearances are truly deceiving. Played tennis with the 'PC DREAM TEAM' from 8-10pm today. Our special guest of honor turned out to be Jordan..with his cute fluffy hair. Anyway, remember I said something like 'everyone changes through time'? Hmm..I think I need to correct that - because no one did today. We acted the same, talked the same, and basically behaved the same. Does our personality remain in somekind of structure? Or do we simply behave the way we did in front of the same group of people?
After tennis we chilled at Starbucks until we were requested to leave. It was fun..although I was kept asked, "Do you have a girlfriend?" *grinnn*August 10, 2004
Installed XP SP2 today. Take a look.
Wireless network interface has improved alot, which is great; new bluetooth setup is nice; ie loads much faster, adds a new popup blocker, which works fairly well; and the 'internet security firewall' has been renamed to 'windows firewall', which also looks better. Well, SP2 does pack much more stuff that are USEFUL. Get it here.[English and German only for now]August 9, 2004
Have been very busy in these two days. AND, shocked to know that today's already the 9th.
August 7, 2004
Glad to see that Amy (and Nick) were finally fired, loosing their chance to become the Apprentice. I mean..it is prejudice that I have towards her.. She just appears to be too manipulative and lacks a firm backup/resource on what she says, which basically suggests that she's an empty shell.
Being practically an empty shell too, I wanna remind myself that I haven't started the required summer reading. Let's get it going..Eugene..August 6, 2004
Had dinner at eating plus in ifc, which is a great place for affordable, quality food. After that watched iRobot. Justly speaking, I'm impressed by this formerly under-estimated (by me) movie, especially the tiny details they included to make it more convincing and logical. I'm equally thrilled by Will Smith's "I'm allergic to bullshit.." line. That was hilarious.
Two of the pictures taken today. On the left shows the electricity towers enshrouded by clouds. The right one is taken from the podium part of ifc II, but what I like best are the slanted-sliding-doors. See friandise.
August 5, 2004
Woke up early for French lesson. After that walked to ifc to buy tickets, then walked to the ferry dock; arrived in tst and walked to muji; then walked to the mtr station.. Notice the word walk... I'm emphasizing it because all of the walks walked were unexpectedly long walks.
Enough with the walks. Ya, whatever. I don't know what I'm trying to say/write/express. Because just like you staring blankly at the screen, I'm lost. Very lost.August 3, 2004
Sick; again.
Received this year's handbook today. Sastified? No; but at least it looks much better than last year's. As I said, I believe that I will make the difference. 放長雙眼睇啦!
August 1, 2004
Played some tennis in the morning, and had lunch in Mistral. Such beautiful days..I mean, how many more of these Sundays do I have before leaving again? Few; very few.
Btw, bought the 3Com router yesterday in Winsor, and original styli to replace my broken one.
