February 22, 2008

How can I not write something on 2/22. Why? Well, because for the past few years, interesting things happen on this day. In 2005, I got very sick on 2/22 and was actually sent to the hospital; in 2006, a Headmaster's holiday was announced on 2/22; last year, there was a strange karaoke theme dinner at FFC (okay, not as significant as the others); today, I drawed my bedroom for the next two years.

"What?" you ask. Well, Derek, Lili and I will be living off campus starting next year, and we decided on an apartment in Unione after visiting it two times. The landlords seems quite nice (Korean family, early 30s). The interesting thing is that this is a 2-bedroom apartment, which means a person will need to live in the dining (not living) room. The other 2 bedrooms vary a bit too, one being bigger and has its own closet and bathroom. So the three of us got in a conflict - no one wanted the dining-'bed'-room, and we decided to do a draw. Miraculously, I drawed the bigger room. Yay.

Busy weekend, and busy week ahead. Good luck to me..

Long time no see. Well, a person said to me that my blog "is dying", and I didn't know what to say besides that I agree with him. But, I have to say that my blog is a good indication of my current life status - I feel lost. I lack drive. I feel content even when I'm not moving forward. I've become complacent. Sometimes I know it's now time to choose my road ahead, but I keep moving away, afraid of taking a chance, making a choice. What have I become..

February 1, 2008

A rather interesting day. Early today, I had to walk all the way from Homewood to Bloomberg for my micro-econ section. It was a long walk, and what's worse, it was raining heavily. Yet, even worse, my TA is less than ideal.. Anyway, for lunch, Lili and I ate at CC carryout. Then we headed to the bookstore to decide whether to buy the book for our p. of management class or not. We decided to check the library; sadly it isn't there. So, wet and cold, we walked back to the bookstore and actually read the textbook there.

As I read, I forgot about my scheduled technical support at Apple, so I missed the bus. I arrived at Apple an hour late, and when it was finally my turn, I told them how my mb dies on battery power and within 2 minutes, the technician decided to give me a new battery. I'm not sure whether it's a good solution, but a new battery sounded good to me. FYI, a new one costs $120.

For dinner, the six of us belated-ly celebrated Jame's birthday on 1/29. Happy birthday to him. Now it's time for me to sleep.

Oh, before that, let me report on last month's visit status. Well, despite me being only here for less than a-handful-of-days, the total visits is 427 (20238-20665), averaging 13.77 visits per day. That's quite high really.. But let's do better this month.
