Move in [902]

May 18, 2008

Our move to UniOne 902 was quite...hectic. We have lots and lots of stuff (they're all in the living room now, as I'll show you soon). Many people helped us in the move, many thanks to them.

How's my room? It's actually quite nice. After I realigned the shelfs with Amy, we found this huge empty space in the middle where another mattress can be placed. Plus, all my furniture are of the same color, which is great (again, I'll show you pictures later).

I'm also going home tonite, for about 6 days. History repeats itself, right? I simply couldn't resist being there on my mom's birthday.

To those graduating, remember to smile more in the graduation ceremony. Enjoy and congratulations.

One more thing..

May 13, 2008

Oh gosh. Macro Theory final was very long, and quite difficult. I don't know if whether I was glad or sad that it ended. This semester's econ classes have definitely lowered my interest in econ and my confidence in it.

Meanwhile I still have a 30 page report due tmr. Good luck to my brain..

感觸

May 11, 2008

Senior dinner

May 10, 2008

I neglected my blog for a few days, which is only expected since I had three finals on consecutive days. I did not sleep on thursday night (I actually tried, but failed). Anyway, they's over and nothing can be changed now. I think I tried my best, and hopefully I won't regret not studying enough.

Senior dinner tonight was very fun. It's like a break from exam, although a few people have finals tmr. The food from SzeChuanHouse was okay I thought. And thankfully I lowered the budget, because there was so much leftovers, especially rice. But as always, senior dinner's best part is about the after-activities. (Of course, the gift which I prepared was a highlight too (not really, but I hope you liked it).) We sang and played mahjong and cards. And it's funny how everyone begins to leave, and in the end only Joe, Amy, Sunny and I remained, playing matching cards and singing Kuli Kuli (?). Haha, it was fun. Thanks to everyone who helped, and those who attended.

Need to recover from an elevated mood to study mode. Good luck, Eugene, and good luck to you too.

Unexpected rest

May 6, 2008

Today was actually worse in terms of studying, but I thought it was a fun day. I had review for Math Modeling from 1 to 3, then printed out invitation cards for HKSA seniors. I originally planned to give out the cards and then head to library to study, but eventually had dinner with Amy (we cooked) and then studied in Homewood's conference room.

Wish me luck.

Study or stare

May 5, 2008

Like yesterday, I spent most of my day in the library. Yet, I'm not sure if I was really studying or just reading. It's not that I don't want to study, but my panic-mechanism has not kicked it yet. Because of that, I don't think I am actually actively engaged in memorizing. Hopefully it will be better tmr.

Meanwhile, there is now a 65% that I'm going to Beijing Olympics this summer. Isn't this great news?

Rewind

May 4, 2008

The past two and more weeks flew by, so fast that I spun as it passed. On 19th and 20th, Renee, Derek, Lili and I went to Ikea to get furniture for next year. And I used $6xx at least. Excluding bed and TV. I also got sick last week during Hopkin's annual Spring Fair, which seemed like a distant memory now. Why or how did I get sick? I don't know.. I got a heavy fever on that Saturday evening, but I still managed to pull myself together and dine out in a Vietnamese restaurant near H-mart. Amy also popped up then, quite shocking it was. That Sunday we also had our HKSA elections, and since I was sick, I only prepared a little bit. I actually gave a short speech, and you can find it here. Sadly, not everyone I expected came..

Then the previous week also passed by in a blur. I don't even remember much about it.. Perhaps I am not trying hard enough to remember it. Perhaps I don't want to remember it.

And it was weekend again. On Friday, Derek, Lili and I went to Towson to shop, probably to relieve ourselves before starting studying. Yesterday and today, I spent most of the time in the library, although my progress leaves much to be desired. Exams will start on Thursday. I have one that day, two on Friday, and one more on Tuesday. Wish me luck.

Meanwhile, total visits for April was 22259-21703=556 visits, averaging 18.53 visits per day. Hopefully I'll have more time this month to fill up the gap that occured near the end of April.
