Happy Birthday, Kevin
June 29, 2008
I'm sure you had a happy 20th birthday. Quite expectly I am, again, across half the globe, for three years in a row now. But at least Martin's back right? Has he met Agxxx?
This weekend had been quite fun. On Friday night, the five of us went to watch Wanted and Get Smart. The former was okay; the latter was okay too. How should I say it.. They're not movies that teach a lesson. Rather, their goal is to entertain. I also caught a glimpse of Wall E, which I really want to watch actually.
On Saturday, we headed to Inner Harbor for lunch in Fogo de Chao, but failed, since they don't have lunch on saturdays. Instead we found our place in Cheesecake Factory. No, I did not order Bang Bang Chicken again (I would have if they had a lunch portion). I ordered the Louisiana Chicken, which was tasty, to say the least.
As for today, I traveled to Ikea to return some merchandise. I tried to find a desk lamp, but none impressed me.. They either look horrible or look okay but are expensive.
Another month, another phase of summer. I surmise that July will be a colorful one.
It's over!
June 27, 2008
Time is now 2:37am. 24hrs ago, I was sleeping aka processing concepts like conics and eigenspaces. Now, I'm really doing nothing, and just like all other post-exam periods, I feel empty.
It's strange, isn't it? During my course, I would be ecstatic if I could stop studying it. Now, looking back, it seemed okay. We're always like this: when you have it, you don't care about it; when you lose it, you don't know why you didn't treasure it more. Sometimes I wish someone would slap me to remind me of this..
Finally final

How are you doing? Well, I hope you're all doing fine. I'll be having my lin alg final this thursday, or in slightly more than a day. These few weeks have truly flew by and I don't recall much from it, apart from my rather robotic schedule everyday. But I guess some things are not meant to be remembered. Anyway, I should take some rest. See you.
Disappointment
June 16, 2008
I've finally booked my tickets back to HK in July. I should be happy, right? Then why is this entry titled "disappointment"? Well, sometimes things don't go as well as I expect, and they are simply disappointing. If only everything is rectifiable..
Just a Sunday

I'm back
June 14, 2008
It's truly been a while since I last wrote. Many things happened during this period, some good, some not so good. But I always believe that after any storm, the sun comes out shining brighter than before. New hope and aspiration comes, and it gives us power to forget the past.
As to where I am and what I am doing, well, I can tell you that this summer so far has been extremely spontaneous. I didn't enroll in summer school until May, and I still haven't booked my tickets to Beijing. At this moment I am planning on flying back to HK first, then to Beijing later in July, help out in the Olympics, and return in September. But plans may change.. just like many things I've planned to do instead of taking Linear Algebra in this boring 'city'. Looking back to last summer, it was much more fulfilling.
Meanwhile, my brother also flew here to visit me. Originally I thought he'd make me less bored here, but him telling me how bored he is being here only makes me more bored. We did try to visit the rather famous National Aquarium in Inner Harbor, but we didn't give in to the steep entrance fee. Today, together with Lili, we watched The Incredible Hulk, which was quite good. Parts of it relied too much on music, mood and gestures, lacking some much needed conversation. I'd recommend it (over Kung Fu Panda anyway, for the lack of choice).
Well, thanks to you who still remember my blog. I marked down the visits for May; quite surprisingly, many showed up to check if I updated.. The total visit for May is 627 (22886-22259), averaging 20.22 visits per day. Scarily high really.. But I appreciate it.
