Another month

It's really crazy how time sweeps by.

And apparently our library has an E-level (see #4).

Learning to say no

October 26, 2008

On one hand it is a great thing to meet different people, especially people who are different from you. Socializing, at the right amount, is healthy and relaxing. But when there's a compelling reason, whether it's personal or not, to do the opposite, you need to say no.

I know you think that a simple "no" will disappoint me, or us. But when you need to say no, you should say it. Saying "yes" is often easier, but being able to say "no" is not something many of us know. You need to learn to say no.

And when you have an issue, please don't overthink or magnify it. Doing so may lead to depression.

Also if you think there's no one to talk to, then you're wrong. Here's the proof by contradiction:

Statement: You have no one to talk to.
Note that I am someone for you to talk to.
But since you have no one to talk to, then I am not a person, but I am. (At least I think so.)
Therefore you have someone to talk to.

Cheer up!

CS4

How have you been? Life for me has been..well. Looking back in life always makes things seem better than they are now. But I am used to that I think - I always seem to prefer the past than the present.

I happen to get my hands on CS4. Photoshop looks more compact/streamlined (especially the panels) and it seems faster, though I don't know if it's merely psychological. The introduction of tabs for opened files is also much welcomed.
